We believed that MLA Conrad would make a difference but in fact, she made the situation worse!

We gave nearly ten hrs / day, and over a month of volunteer labour to erect signs for Vicki Conrad's campaign. We set aside our business affairs and ignored the chaos around us. All we hoped for was to get the help we so badly needed at the end of this election and to abolish the current Tory stranglehold of fifty-three years on the County of Queens. We drove one of our company vans into the ground and exhausted all of our remaining resources to win this election.

We live in an area where elected politicians ignore the needs of their constituents, where the judiciary and police institutions will not uphold the rights of citizens, where the media is afraid to report the truth, where lawlessness abounds and ordinary people are left unprotected and defenseless against the rapacity of a few. The answer to our dilemma is for people of courage to actively help each other. Only if we unite can we succeed. That is the only way. There is no other way. People, stand up!
